Costs $10,000+ to have a manual swap done. And it was available in Europe with manual transmission, but we never get the cool shit.

That's not true. Sometimes it's Europe that can't get the cool shit!

But we did get an S8 with a manual...
Edit: Wasn't it the 2nd gen? Super rare, manual?

Nope. All US S8s are auto. In the first-gen, it was Tiptronic which has a 100% failure rate. A lot of guys have swapped them to sticks because we did get a few Audis with that engine and a stick shift. You see them on BaT and Craigslist in northern California every so often. Very cool.

That's the beauty of early Tiptronic. When it craps out, you have no other choice but a manual swap!

As awesome and SAVE DAH MANULES as it sounds, I think clutching a 4500 pound barge around would get old, and also make you cringe from all the slippage on hills and such.
Better would be to give it the dual clutch, and leave the RS3 manual.
